While wood mantels cost less and is easier to install.

Print out pictures of the mantels you like to see them in the room. Once you’ve selected your mantel, review the finish selections from the manufacturer. Some vendors will send you a color card or wood samples to help with your final selection. Pick a finish that works best in the room.
