Why Some People Always Have Quick Remodels
Why is it that there are some people who will end up with the quickest stair remodels in human history and sometimes they’ll do it in such record time that you will not even know that they had a full blown remodeling project underway. Its so stealthy and quick that the more imaginative would probably think their contractor probably has ninjas of some kind on his payroll! And it would always feel like a slap in my face as I worked so hard trying to complete finishing the sanding and graining work on my patio while they had new stairs, new fences and a new dog all over a weekend. I took to spying on my neighbors over the night – nothing illegal just constant timed peeking over from my drawing room upstairs trying to figure out if they had something done at nights. And as it turns out, they did. Boxes would arrive on a Friday, get unpacked on a Saturday night and be ready as stairs, fences and even a complete patio once summer morning. The patio bit really got me intrigued and I finally went over to ask what was in those magical boxes that they kept having delivered to their place all weekend.
The answer: prefabricated stairs, prefabricated fences, prefabricated everything! And the reason they installed at nights? Cement sets better at night since the morning Texan sun makes the settings take place too quickly for any adjustments to be made. It really is some way to get the work done though, I admit. Get all heavy lifting and the setting of the concrete done at night and enjoy your new home accessory in the daytime – quite a way to live it up I’d say. So I got their prefab stair maker’s phone number and gave them a call. All they did was ask to pick a design from their website, tell the dimensions of the place I was installing in and that was it! Two days later my amazing new prefabricated staircase arrived and was installed the same night.
