How Much To Expect To Pay For Bar Sinks

When you are planning your home bar, one of the costs you have to plan for is that of the bar sink. Depending on which kind of sink you choose, your price might be as low as the $100 range but as high as several hundred dollars. The price you pay will be determined by the size of the sink as well as the material of the sink.

If you want to keep the price in the low range, you will need to stick with a fairly simple set up. A stainless steel bar sink looks good, gives off a classy style, but can be purchased at the low range of sink prices. These sinks can get expensive, but a basic sink in this class should not cost you more than $150. If you stick with drop in type sinks you will find a fairly wide range of styles in this range. If you choose an undermount sink, you have to deal with a more involved installation process so while the sink might not cost more, the end result may be spending more money. If you are getting an undermount sink, you are probably getting some kind of solid surface counter tops like granite or marble. In most cases the counter top installer will handle your sink installation, so check with them for a price.

The next level of sink as far as price goes are things like glass sinks. These make great bar sinks, and are available in different styles, sizes, and colors. Glass sinks are really colorful and can be found in both solid colors and mosaic patterns. Within the category of glass sinks there is a pretty wide price range so you will have to narrow down your choices before you can know an accurate price. But in general, glass sinks range anywhere from a couple of hundred dollars on up to several hundred dollars.

The sink that has become pretty popular in recent years but is also among the most expensive of all bar sinks is the copper sink. Like glass sinks, these make great bar sinks because they are interesting and beautiful in addition to being functional. They are also different, and using a different sink than most people is a great way to draw interest in your home when the time comes to sell. These sinks are also great conversation starters. Expect to pay somewhere in the same range as for a glass sink, but the potential for the higher end to be even higher is certainly there with copper sinks.
