Using a small or large wicker basket is very useful; one can easily fill it with anything from fruit to a collection of magazines. You are literally only limited by your imagination. You can add a coat of varnish to your basked to give it extra protection against dust and spills. You can clean it with a damp cloth or even some mild soapy water. Wicker will become soft when damp so be sure to leave it to dry thoroughly before its next use.
