Create a Unique Atmosphere with Interior Design

You know what’s a great way to catch a guest’s eye? Hang some nude photos on your walls. However, employing an unusual and interesting design for the interior of your grand home decoration could achieve better results without offending or scaring the person (or tempting them to try and sneak out of the house with one of the naked pictures tucked in their coat). Before I even consider going any further into design ideas, allow me to preface my advice with this tidbit: “unusual” is not synonymous with “ugly”, “random”, or “slapdash”. Closing your eyes, wandering around IKEA and buying objects on a hit-and-miss basis that you point at does not a unique design make. Just like any other sort of interior decoration, you’re going to need to put a little forethought into an atypical home layout. Treat your home interior with care when deciding on a theme…after all, it’s you who has to live in it and pay for it.

You don’t even need to think too far into furnishings to achieve a look that is beyond normal. For example, rather than hanging a wall decoration like a photo or painting on the wall, why not get some strong cord or cable and suspend them from the ceiling?. I don’t mean flush against the ceiling…I mean dangling from overhead like swings. Threaten the house cats with bodily harm if they show interest in using said suspensions as beds. Some abstract metal wall art would also be a great way to dress up a room too. Perhaps you could design your home sort of like an art gallery? Use a dark color for the walls and a lever-controlled light fixture, and hang various photos, paintings and sculptures on the wall (or the ceiling). The low lights will provide a relaxing environment in which to view said artwork, and the presence of the shapes on the walls can be visually appealing all on its own.
