Cheap Wall Art To Liven Up Those Walls
You work hard at your job and you pay good money to maintain your mortgage or pay your rent every month. Is there a reason why you have walls that are bare, that do nothing to enhance your living space or your mood? There are so many ways to acquire wonderful cheap art, but there’s really no reason to put off a small, inexpensive shopping spree in the name of brightening up your home and giving it a little personality.
Do what I did: wait until the after-Christmas sales, or other large seasonal sales that the big retailers have to stage periodically in order to clear old inventory. Their loss is your gain, as a nice framed print of the classic piece of artwork can never really be considered “old” in terms of your enjoyment of it. I brought home five gorgeous pieces of cheap wall art, three by Claude Monet and two by Vincent van Gogh, who is my wife’s favorite. What was the price? Five for $59.
Yes they are just prints, but there are also masterpieces and it feels to me as though they give positive inspiration even when our family is just sitting around the dinner table. Better yet, with this one purchase I’ve covered up the really painfully naked walls in our home. I feel like I can make further purchases simply based on cheap art that I find down the road that inspires me, without this sort of planned acquisition spree.
Hey, the bottom line is, when you can spend $4.50 on a cup of coffee, $15-$20 for a nice print you will enjoy for years is just about a negligible expense. Reducing the number of bare walls in your home is the difference between having a “home” in just a place to live. Getting some cheap art for your walls can make the difference. It’s your home, shouldn’t it reveal some of your personality and taste?
